Matthew Buckley

Matthew is a Master’s student in Mathematics at the University of Oxford and was the Chairman of OUEC in 2023-24. He is passionate about the outdoors, and has previously backpacked and mountaineered in Alaska, Norway, and the Alps. Matthew aims to use his quantitative skills to impact global issues, and is currently working with a startup enhancing access to malaria diagnosis in Sub-Saharan Africa, which won the Oxford University Innovation Student Entrepreneurs’ Programme in 2024.
